TBS Outdoor MK II TBS Timberwolf Camp Knife - DeLuxe Edition - CB

The TBS Timberwolf is the latest knife from TBS where all the knowledge gained in recent years has come together to create what we think is a great knife.

This great knife therefore deserves its own leather sheath, which is why we offer it in the latest sheath with extras! Matching Firesteel, TBS Multitool and TBS Live-fire Tinder. The ultimate Bushcraft knife. The TBS Stoat multitool is a firesteel striker, screwdriver and beer opener in one, equipped with lanyard hole to attach to your gear. The LiveFire tinder is a special type of water-resistant tinder that ignites effortlessly in all weather conditions, ideal for use with your firesteel. Comes in a storage box which fits into the compartment in your scabbard.

The camp edition is distinguished from the bushcraft edition by its stainless steel blade and hollowgrind cut. The stainless steel is much more suitable for deboning animals and processing food products, hygienic and blemish-free. The hollow gravel cut is also more suitable for processing food and deboning animals, its narrow and thin blade makes it less suitable for splitting/processing wood.

It features a high-quality, hollow ground (hollow grind) stainless steel drop-point knife that is razor-sharp right out of the box and makes camping tasks and general cutting effortless. The 115 mm length has a more pronounced finger guard, a short Ricasso (non-cutting part) and a Choil (finger notch) that ensures perfect indexing in almost any grip and improves your ability to make powerful and controlled cuts. I know the modern craze is to have a Bushcraft knife with a blade that just disappears into the handle without guard, ricasso or choil, well, NOT here. Knives with a choil offer the ability to grip closer to the blade, this gives you more control while cutting, therefore a lot safer as well.

The handle is wonderfully ergonomic, just like all our other models. It has a natural swing to the back and a good swell, this ensures a perfect fit around your hand and allows your wrist and shoulder to be in a more natural position. Knives with a straight back cause you to unnaturally stretch your wrist and lift your shoulder when cutting vertically, making you fatigued faster and not as comfortable to use.

The Timberwolf has 3 different material options for the handle: Curly Birch, Turkish Walnut and Black Micarta. All our wood is sustainably produced and we love the fact that our wood comes from trees planted by current owners, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. It fits perfectly with our ethos at TBS to treat everyone who works for us and everyone within our supply chain fairly. That includes fair pay, a good working environment and doing everything as ecologically as possible.

Of course, if you choose a wooden handle, you should maintain it with cleaning and oiling so you can enjoy a genuine heritage cutlery that will last for generations. We recommend oiling with boiled linseed oil, but there are many other oils and waxes that nourish the wood throughout its life and keep it as water-resistant as possible, and this may have to do with your personal preference.

Of course, the Timberwolf features our latest enhanced leatherwork that combines high-quality leather with innovative designs. Our modular casings are also phenomenally popular because they offer something different from the norm that everyone else uses. They are all made from high-quality full-grain leather and have a brilliant range of accessories and carry options, so you can really customise your knife to suit your needs.
