Bushmen Thermo Blanket - Tarp/Bivy/Poncho/Underquilt - Olive

This highly multifunctional blanket is a great addition to any lightweight bushcrafter's kit! With its very wide applicability, it gives that extra bit of protection and comfort in any situation, one piece of gear you can use with anything!

The blanket consists of a fully waterproof ripstop nylon tarp measuring 2 x 1.4 metres with a soft fleece layer. Between the tarp and the fleece is a heat-reflective coating, which reflects your body heat and thus greatly enhances insulation. The long side of the tarp is equipped with 4 sturdy loops on each side. One of the long sides has a capochon which can also be used as a storage pocket. The short sides have a drawstring. With the supplied tensioning cords, loops and pull cord, you can attach and tension the blanket in an infinite number of ways. The tarp comes in a handy storage bag with handle, it can also be easily attached to the MOLLE system on your rucksack.

Poncho

In bad weather, the blanket can be used as a waterproof poncho, using the hood and tensioning cords to tighten it around your torso. It can replace a waterproof jacket or provide extra protection on top of a waterproof jacket to prevent leakage. The poncho can be worn over a large backpack, preventing it from getting wet during long walks in bad weather. The poncho is ideal as an extra layer of warmth when you are in basecamp at night.

Tarp

At 2 x 1.4 metres, it's not big but certainly big enough to serve as a tarp during the day during rainstorms or possibly also to sleep under. The loops on the sides make it easy to stretch. Please note, it comes without pegs and guy ropes.

Ground sheet

Thanks to the sturdy and waterproof side and the soft fleece side, it is great to use as a ground sheet. The fleece feels extra warm thanks to the heat reflective coating inside, giving you that extra bit of comfort. A groundsheet is also a great protection for your sleeping mat and the rest of your gear. Using the loops, you can stretch the groundsheet out with pegs or poles.

Bivy Bag

Using the tensioning cords, the blanket can be secured around your sleeping bag and mat, with the drawcord at the foot end you can tighten it like a cosy footbox. The waterproof blanket stays firmly in place and offers protection against splashing rain, dew and condensation. The heat reflective coating and soft fleece offer warmth and comfort on the inside.

Underblanket

The tensioning cords can be used to attach the blanket to the underside of your hammock. It can serve as a light underquilt in warm weather or as an extra underquilt protector in cold weather. It is easy to adjust to your hammock shape thanks to the drawstring and tensioning cords, works on all regular size hammocks.
