Possum Merino Javelin Zip Neck:
A fine jumper made from a special blend of soft merino wool and insulating possum fur. This combination makes the jumper very warm without being heavy. The idea of combining these two natural fibres comes from New Zealand, and was first developed by a New Zealand knitter as a by-product of the possum (possum) management programme, making merino/possum a sustainable choice.
Possum fleece is one of the most extraordinary natural fibres in the world, thanks to its hollow core; this cavity traps a tunnel of air that provides extraordinary warmth (up to 30% more than standard wool garments), while minimising the weight of the fibre. As a sign of how effective this feature is, the only other animal with a hollow core fibre in its fur is the polar bear.
In short, the great material and good specifications of this jumper make it ideal for bushcrafting!
