Steel grade:
Sandvik 14C28N is the latest development within Sandvik steel. Optimised chemistry provides a high-quality knife steel with a unique combination of excellent cutting performance (stability and cutting properties), high hardness and good corrosion resistance.
This new grade offers higher hardness and wear resistance without affecting the microstructure making the knife more sharpenable, time after time.
At the same time, it also offers better stability of the cut.
Composition: C. 0.62 Si. 0.2 Mn. 0.6 P. 0.025 S. 0.01 Cr. 14.0 N. 0.11 (~ HRC 60).
