The Morakniv Lok a handmade, robust knife with Full-tang construction made for exploration. The Lok's ergonomically shaped handle meets its 3.2 mm thick blade to become a knife you can rely on when a demanding situation arises. A knife ready for intensive outdoor use. "Lok-Anders Mattsson became legendary during his lifetime for his extraordinary technical talent. Regularly locals would see Lok walking with a measure between his hands, miraculously he always arrived at his workshop without losing this precise measure. That's who he was, and despite his absurdity, he would have been amazingly accurate. Today, more than a century later, this method of working is still a mark of Mora craftsmanship." The razor-sharp blade is made of 100% recycled Swedish stainless steel, a sustainable and local way of dealing with a scarce material. This type of steel has excellent toughness, sharpness retention and durability. A good choice for an all-round outdoor knife. The blade is finished with a black PC coating, this gives the blade a unique look and contrasts beautifully with the shiny scandi gravel cut. Furthermore, the back of the blade is flat-ground to make it well-suited for use with a firesteel. The Lok has an ergonomically shaped handle with an integrated finger guard and is made of natural ash wood sourced from European FSC® forests. Ash wood is an amazing material that is naturally durable. The wood has only been treated with a protective layer of wax, thus preserving the properties of the wood throughout its life. The included sheath protects the blade and prevents unwanted cuts. The scabbard is made of vegetable-tanned leather, thus naturally protecting the leather from the elements. Also, during its life, the leather will develop a patina that tells the story of its use and makes each knife unique.
