Steel grade:

Sandvik 14C28N is the latest development within Sandvik steel. Optimised chemistry provides a high-quality knife steel with a unique combination of excellent cutting performance (stability and cutting properties), high hardness and good corrosion resistance.

This new grade offers higher hardness and wear resistance without affecting the microstructure making the knife more sharpenable, time after time.
At the same time, it also offers better stability of the cut.

Composition: C. 0.62 Si. 0.2 Mn. 0.6 P. 0.025 S. 0.01 Cr. 14.0 N. 0.11 (~ HRC 60).

Lars Fält is considered one of the leading experts in outdoor and bushcraft skills. After 35 years of being an instructor at the Swedish Army's Ranger School, he founded the Swedish Army's survival school himself. Meanwhile, he trained with the special forces of both England and the United States in different parts of the world, which is how he came into contact with indigenous populations. He gained a lot of knowledge from his contact with these peoples, knowledge that he still imparts to the people today.
