Sasta Katmai Anorak - Forest Green

A bushcraft jacket must meet a number of requirements specific to this form of nature experience. The fabric must be strong enough to protect against thorns and protruding branches, a spattering of sparks from the campfire should not be a problem and the jacket must be water-repellent and breathable. In any case, the Sasta Katmai Anorak meets all these requirements with ease.

But this unique anorak goes further than that! Bushcrafters prefer ecologically produced products. For this jacket, Sasta uses a polycotton fabric made of 65% recycled polyester (reuse of sustainable materials) and 35% organically produced cotton. As a result, even the production process is therefore lower impact compared to other clothing. In addition, this jacket is 100% PFC-free and Sasta uses the environmentally friendly Cotton Proof from Nikwax to impregnate the jacket.

Features

So the Sasta Katmai Anorak is a strong and responsibly produced jacket, great of course, but you also want it to be functional. You don't have to worry about that with this anorak!

First of all, the fabric is partly cotton. This guarantees excellent breathability, pleasant climate and wearing comfort. The ideal combination with merino wool underwear, for example. Thanks to the fabric's natural fibres, it makes limited noise when you move: perfect for game spotting!

It features various adjustment options. You can easily adjust the waistband with a handy drawcord, tighten it at the bottom to prevent cold from below and tighten or loosen the cuffs with handy Velcro strips.

The hood is fully adjustable to your needs, e.g. thanks to the mouldable metal wire in the brim, and is roomy. So you can hide in this wonderfully during bad weather. The fine high collar is also very pleasant. No more cold wind or pouring rain in your face!

One side of the jacket has a long zip. Great for some extra ventilation on hot days, but also very handy to put on and take off the anorak.

On the chest you will find a large pouch pocket with top access via a zip. The side pockets also extend to each other, so you can keep your hands warm and dry there. The advantage is that the pouch pocket can be closed separately, so the stuff you put in cannot easily fall out through the side pockets.

Furthermore, the jacket is nicely finished with leather details and feels comfortable yet very sturdy.

In short: the Katmai is a jewel in Sasta's range, a jacket that will give bushcrafters and other nature lovers years of pleasure and is therefore worth its price!
