The Original Savotta Border patrol is a classic from 1989 and is still used today by Finnish border guards, countless hunters and hikers. During all these years, Savotta has collected a lot of feedback, experiences and wishes from avid users in their product development database. As a result, the Savotta Border Patrol has been revamped and Savotta has come up with a consumer-inspired backpack: the Rajajääkäri!

The backpack's slim shape makes it ideal for a bushcraft adventure on difficult terrain. The hip belt distributes the load over the iliac crest and the support frame keeps the backpack in shape and distributes the load over the hips, this ensures that the back and shoulders are not overloaded. Even with a very heavy pack, the backpack wears comfortably.

Despite its slim design, the backpack is still spacious enough to carry the complete equipment for a long trip.

The backpack is very strong, this is partly due to the aluminium frame and the supportive carrying system. The frame is attached to the supporting carrying system with MOLLE loops. Durable and high-quality materials have also been used. The backpack has been extensively tested in the field and cannot be broken (see video). Therefore, it also comes with a 5-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects.

The backpack is closed with a roll top, which is easy to close, even with gloves on. The way it closes also makes the backpack very water-proof. The roll-top adjusts perfectly to the pack volume. There are also compression straps to tighten the bag compactly when it is not full. The roll-top allows the backpack to hold between 40 and 60 litres and always remains sturdy.

The main compartment is covered with a flap that closes the top, the flap is secured with adjustable straps. This makes it possible to "overpack" the backpack if necessary. The straps are very long, this provides extra space for a sleeping bag or winter jacket, for example. There is also a spacious pocket (2 litre capacity) in the flap with a sturdy zip for any valuables.
