Very sturdy, reliable and durable jerry can with a built-in, highly advanced water filter. The jerry can has a capacity of 18.5 litres and is therefore very suitable as a water system in basecamps, 4x4 cars, caravans, campers and for during emergencies.

The water filter consists of a hollowfibre filter with a pore diameter of 0.02 microns and an active carbon cartridge. The hollowfibre filter removes algae, plant debris, sediment, bacteria, protozoa, cysts and parasites. The carbon filter removes chlorine, odour and taste, making the (tap) water much more palatable. The "dirty" water is stored in the jerry can; when used, it is immediately filtered. Storing "dirty" water is better with this system, this way you prevent it from possibly being contaminated again.

This system is equipped with a tap and pressure pump, so you don't have to pour it out but can use it as a (kitchen) tap. You can attach a separately available hose to this tap, allowing you to shower, rinse gear and even wash dishes!

The sturdy plastic jerry can is completely BPA- and BPS-free, so you can store water in it safely and responsibly for a longer period of time. The entire product meets NSF P248 guidelines, which is the US quality control for microbiological water filters for military operations.

The water filter has a capacity of 20,000 litres, after which it must be replaced. Thanks to the "FailSafe" system, it gives an indication as soon as it is due for replacement, you can reorder the new filter cartridges. The carbon discs last for 500 litres, after this they need to be replaced, the carbon discs are also available separately in 5 packs.

Maintenance tips

Once you have started using the filter, it is important to keep it wet/filled. After use, always store it with water in it, by shaking it. Always replace the carbon disc after some time without use to prevent blockage by drying out. The filter also works without the carbon disc. Keep the silicon ring for installing the carbon disc when replacing it, do not throw it away.
