TBS Grizzly Bushcraft Knife DC4 / Firesteel Edition - Military Model - Incl. sheath

The TBS Grizzly is simply a great knife and seems hard to improve upon, but with this model, an ultimate, strongest, most durable and long-lasting Grizzly has been created

This model was made in collaboration with the British Military Survival Training team. Therefore, Bohler's phenomenal N690 stainless steel blade was chosen. N690 is chromium steel to which special cobalt, molybdenum and vanadium have been added to make hardened cutting tools with excellent properties. It is designed for tools and components that can be hardened to very high hardness and high corrosion resistance. Finely ground, it produces a terribly sharp edge and will retain that edge much longer than many other steels on the market today.

The 125 mm drop-point blade has a good full, ground-to-zero Scandi Grind that is not only easy to maintain, but also incredibly sharp right out of the box. It offers exceptional cutting power and edge retention.

The 120 mm handle is made of a super hard Canvas Micarta that is really durable, stable and essentially maintenance-free. It is naturally shaped to be wonderfully ergonomic.

We have combined this military model with the Fatboy-sized (12.5mm) TBS Firesteels and a Fallkniven DC4 sharpening stone to make a truly versatile and useful package for the field.

Blade

The blade of the Military Model is made of 5.5 mm thick high-grade N690 Stainless steel. The blade has a special cut-out for use with the firesteel.

Handle

The handle is 120 mm long and made of Micarta This has a special colour and a very smooth finish. It is shaped and worked in such a way that it is very comfortable in the hand and feels soft. This makes it excellent for working with for longer periods of time.

Sheath

The Grizzly comes with a nicely finished leather sheath that can be attached to your belt. This protects the knife when not in use and during transport. After placing the knife in the sheath, you fasten the press stud and this keeps it firmly in place. The sheath also features a separate storage compartment for the firesteel.
