BIOPOD DOWNWOOL SUMMER 185
High-quality summer sleeping bag
The Biopod DownWool Summer is the optimal hiking and cycling sleeping bag for the best holiday season from late spring to early autumn, offering an excellent ratio of insulation, weight and pack size.
The comfortably cut mummy shape makes it light and small in pack size. Very practical is also the pillow pocket - insert a fleece jacket, for example, and you have a pillow that does not slip while sleeping.
The mummy sleeping bag has an innovative zip that allows you to comfortably put your feet on top of the sleeping bag if it gets too hot.
Deep and restorative sleep is especially important after an active day. That's why our mummy sleeping bags are cut more comfortably, while also paying attention to low weight and small pack volume.
The unique feature of our DownWool sleeping bags is their innovative insulation: DownWool is a natural insulation made of 70% down and 30% wool and combines the advantages of both natural materials. Very good insulation and a pleasant living environment.
HOW THE UNIQUE DOWNWOOL INSULATION WORKS
The natural high-quality DownWool insulation is a mix of 70% high-quality RDS-certified down, which provides high insulation value, and 30% wool from the Alpine region, which acts as a lightweight natural air conditioner. The combination is perfect. Nothing insulates like high-quality down. The 30% wool share absorbs any emerging moisture, keeping the down naturally drier. Down has a very high insulating power at a low weight. However, down only insulates as long as it is dry and fluffy. With increasing humidity, the fine branching of the down collapses, significantly reducing its insulating power. For this reason, down is often treated with water-repellents. With DownWool, this is made unnecessary by adding the wool content. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without losing its insulating properties. Furthermore, wool is highly temperature-regulating and naturally creates a pleasant microclimate.
The result is a unique sleeping climate, making the temperature range in which you feel comfortable and sleep well in a DownWool sleeping bag particularly wide. This makes DownWool sleeping bags popular all-rounders.
