DEET is the strongest insect repellent for the skin. DEET is highly effective against several dangerous disease vectors, such as mosquitoes and ticks. In addition, DEET has shown repellent activity against stable flies, warblers, golden-eyed mosquitoes and (chigger) mites*. DEET is recommended for destinations where there is a risk of malaria, dengue and yellow fever. DEET is suitable for all destinations, both far away, and closer to home. The percentage determines the duration of action.

Instructions for use

Care Plus® recommends covering the skin with clothing as much as possible. Preferably wear long trousers and a long-sleeved shirt. For optimal protection against bites and stings, we recommend rubbing the entire uncovered skin with Care Plus® Anti-Insect DEET (Natural or Sensitive). Apply the insect repellent evenly with the palm of your hand. For protection in the face, spread a small amount of the insect repellent over the face with the fingers. Then wash the hands and apply to the back of the hand. Always keep the fingers free due to consumption of food or drink. In children, do not apply the insect repellent to body parts that can easily come into contact with eyes or mouth, e.g. hands and forearms. For daytime use, apply the insect repellent ten minutes before exposure to direct sunlight. When combined with sunscreen, apply sunscreen first 30 minutes before sun exposure. Then apply the insect repellent 20 minutes later (and 10 minutes before sun exposure). Then wash the treated parts of the skin well with soap and water when the protection is no longer needed or when side effects occur.
