Rocket Stove RF33

What makes the Petromax Rocketstove so unique?
The Petromax Rocketstove has been a well-known phenomenon among outdoor cooks around the world for years,. Petromax has redesigned it and made it with the best materials. This makes the Rocketstove RF33 currently the safest, most efficient, fastest, hottest and above all cleanest wood-fired stove available today! Scrap wood, clean waste wood, firewood and other combustible biomass found everywhere can be used as fuel with high efficiency and high temperatures and clean emissions through complete combustion. The RF33 (Rocket Fire) is made entirely of Stainless Steel with the exception of the cast iron top. In addition, it is filled with lightweight and durable insulation material.

Why is the bio fuel consumption and emissions so low and the efficiency and temperatures so high?
The design of the combustion chamber combined with insulation and air supply creates complete combustion of the fuels fed to the front. In the combustion chamber, the gases produced by combustion are circulated until the gases are completely burned after which the heat is beamed directly onto the pan via the vertical channel. The valve at the front automatically adjusts to the amount of fuel. Even closed, there is still an air supply so that wind and cold air do not disturb or affect the combustion process in extreme conditions. As a result, there is only combustion in the combustion chamber in the middle of the Rocketstove. Sticks and branches will therefore only burn at the ends!

What advantages does the Petromax RF33 Rocketstove have?
The fuel for the Rocketstove can be found everywhere in nature, making it possible to cook economically and safely in any situation. The stable and robust construction of stainless steel and cast iron without loose easily breakable parts makes it a cooker that is very durable. All materials used are long-term resistant to high temperatures and extreme weather conditions. Due to the very good and therefore complete combustion, less fuel is needed and high temperatures can be reached and all this with minimal emissions of harmful gases.

How to use the RF33 Rocketstove inpractice
The Rocketstove requires a stable flat surface. This can be a table but also a tile or simply on flat ground. Although most of the heat is conducted to the top, the underside will heat up due to heat conduction. It is therefore recommended that the surface can withstand higher temperatures. It is not recommended to place this directly on a grass mat or, for example, plastic surface. After collecting the biofuel such as logs, kindling, branches and sticks, light the Rocketstove with tinder such as a lighter cube and thin, fast-burning material. Once this burns well, the combustion chamber will quickly reach high temperature and thicker and thicker material can be fed in. Once the combustion chamber is at temperature, even damp wood can be fed in this can cause some water vapour. The valve at the front ensures that sparks splashing back have no chance and wind will not affect the combustion process. Controlling temperatures is easy by having more or less fuel in the combustion chamber. With full combustion, there will be little to no smoke development and minimal ash. Because branches and sticks only burn at the end, extinguishing is easy, just pull the stick or branch out of the Rocketstove and stick it in the ground or submerge it in some water. Should you need to change location during cooking, the Rocketstove can be carried using the fold-out handles.

Which pans can be used?
All common sizes and designs of pans can be used on the Petromax Rocketstove. It is not advisable to use pans with a non-stick coating as these often cannot withstand very high temperatures and the coating can get into the food. Pans with non-heat-resistant handles are also not recommended. To avoid overcooking, use spacious pans. Woks, frying pans, saucepans, Dutch ovens, kettles and saucepans are all suitable. Just like the materials aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron, etc. as long as they can withstand high temperatures, it is no problem. There are some types of wood that will still cause some burning deposits, even if damp wood is used. Simply turn in the sand after use and the pan is clean again.

We recommend Petromax Dutch Oven's without legs for a stable and high-efficiency cooking process.

Who is the Petromax Rocketstove ideal for?
For everyone who will be cooking outdoors! Campers in tent or caravan, in the garden, during a canoe trip, preppers, cyclists, bushcrafters, on the road by car, during a picnic and so on and so forth. The Rocketstove is so safe to use that older children can keep the fire going under supervision, making cooking in nature fun and educational. The Rocketstove is robust and can withstand a bump, a dent or a scratch, it will not affect its operation.
