Caution! When using this stove for the first time, unpleasant fumes may be released, including from the protective coatings applied to the stove. We therefore recommend lighting this stove outdoors when using it for the first time to allow the unpleasant fumes to escape properly.

For the coating to cure, it is very important that the stove is stoked very moderately the first few times; this can be gradually increased. Start with a small fire with only kindling, make sure it burns for only 15 minutes. After this, let the stove cool down completely. After this, you can start an average-sized fire of half an hour, again let it cool down completely. Finally, make a good burning fire which you let burn for an hour, after cooling, the coating will have hardened and your stove is ready for more intensive use!

Frontier Stove:

The stove is the Frontier Stove model. The big advantage of this is that the stove is not only great for heating up the space in your tipi, bell tent or other cotton tent or tarp, you can also cook on it! The flat part functions as a cooking plate. So you warm up your tent at the same time as water for coffee is on the stove. Cooking your meal is also possible, of course!

Compact to transport

The stove is very easy to transport. For instance, the chimney parts fit into the combustion chamber and the legs are foldable. With a transport pack size of just 52 x 33 x 33cm, it always fits! Also handy is the optional transport bag that allows you to take it everywhere cleanly and safely.

Accessories

Various accessories are available. You can easily extend the chimney (e.g. if you choose this model for your Tentipi or Robens tent), there are various lead-throughs for different types of tents available (tipis, bell tents, etc), there is a spark arrester to protect your tent and you can opt for a handy carrying bag.

Delivery

As standard, the Frontier is delivered as pictured, complete with ash tray and 5 chimney parts.

Use

The Frontier wood stove is easy to light. Open the door, put in enough wood (not too much) and light the fire. If necessary, you can use the handy EcoFuel!
As soon as the stove generates enough heat and the chimney draws enough, you close the door and your tent heats up quickly.
