The Petromax Fire Piston is an ideal fire starter that allows you to easily make a glowing coal after some practice. With this coal, you then blow on your fine tinder and your campfire is lit! Very fun to do and yet another method other than the commonly used firesteel, fire starter or, of course, matches or lighter.

The Fire Piston works because you create a very high pressure inside very quickly. This releases a lot of heat that allows you to make a charred piece of cotton glow. A method that has been used for centuries and which you can now easily use yourself.

The solid black anodised aluminium piston comes complete. You can start using it right away! Accidentally forgotten to add tinder? No problem, the piston's tube also conceals a fire handle.
The piston's handles are for your tinder and lubricant. So you have everything easily to hand.
