Description:
The Morakniv Finn a handmade, solid knife with Full-tang construction designed to meet the needs of your next hike. Whether on foot uphill, down the river in a kayak or along a bank.
"Finn-Anders Andersson, born 1848 into a family of watchmakers, had a talent for engineering. By the time he was in his early twenties, he had figured out how to make knives in his father's workshop, but he had to carry the unfinished knives to the grindstone, seven kilometres away. According to legend, he was once asked if it wasn't time to buy a bicycle. With a glint in his eye, he replied that he couldn't possibly carry that too."
The razor-sharp blade is made of 100% recycled Swedish stainless steel, a sustainable and local way of dealing with a scarce material. This type of steel has excellent toughness, sharpness retention and durability. A good choice for an all-round outdoor knife. The blade is finished with a black PC coating, this gives the blade a unique look and contrasts beautifully with the shiny scandi gravel cut. The Finn has an ergonomically shaped handle made of natural ash wood sourced from European FSC® forests. Ash wood is an amazing material that is naturally durable. The wood has only been treated with a protective layer of wax, thus maintaining the properties of the wood throughout its life. The included sheath protects the blade and prevents unwanted cuts. The scabbard is made of vegetable-tanned leather, thus naturally protecting the leather from the elements. The leather will also develop a patina during its life, telling the story of its use and making each knife unique. Finn follows you wherever you go, take it with you and create memories.
