Description:
The Espresso 9 allows you to make 9 espressos or 4 medium cups of coffee in no time. The desired strength of the coffee can be adjusted and the percolator is suitable for use in combination with a roaster.
Parts
The Espresso 9 percolator consists (from bottom to top) of several parts:
- A reservoir where you put the water.
- A coffee filter where you put the coffee.
- A reservoir from which you pour the coffee when it is ready.
Preparation method
To make coffee with the Espresso 9, fill the lower reservoir with water and put the coffee in the filter. Then place the filter in the lower reservoir and let it settle against the rim. Next, place the upper part and screw the two parts together.
Make sure the rubber ring is sufficiently clean before screwing the parts together. This will prevent the coffee from spilling out of the percolator at that place. Once both parts are screwed together, place the Espresso 9 on a burner and let it heat up until you hear the coffee flowing through.
Safety
The Espresso 9 is made of aluminium. This material is a good (heat) conductor. As a result, the water heats up quickly and the coffee does not take long to brew. The aluminium also retains heat for some time after making your coffee. Keep this in mind when picking up the jug. For extra safety, the Espresso 9 is equipped with a pressure relief valve.
Use with an open flame
Please note; this espresso maker is not designed to be used on wood burners or open flames. The plastic handle may melt, this is also not covered by the guarantee. However, you can put it on a campfire if used sensibly. When doing so, never put it directly in the flames but on the coals, always on a rack at a reasonable distance from the fire. A wood burner is even safer to use.
