Dutch Oven FT4.5-4.5QT:

The Petromax Dutch Oven is the ideal pan for bushcraft, camping, picnics and other outdoor activities. Ideal for cooking in over an open fire. The specially shaped lid can be used as a frying pan or a bowl and has a raised rim. This also allows the lid to be filled with hot coals and creates an oven inside the pan. Perfect for baking delicious fresh bread! The pans are made of durable cast iron and is fully pre-treated (pre-seasoned) and therefore ready for immediate use.

I love this dutch oven so much that I once dragged it up a mountain in deep snow for 2 days and then spent 2 weeks in an 1811 cabin. Good food is important and nothing tastes better than food from a dutch oven. You really do make everything: from bread, stews and pizzas to pies. It is worth its weight in gold. I recommend the version without legs. This size is perfect for 2 to 3 people.

Maintenance:

Clean with water after use. Do not use washing-up liquid! If necessary, in case of strongly burned-on residues, use some salt and scrub the pan with a scrubber (Petromax Chain Mail cleaner).
A very thin layer of burned-on fat will form in a cast-iron pan, which is normal and ensures that the pan never sticks. The grease settles in the pores of the iron.
After cleaning, dry the pan well and, if necessary, rub it with some oil (olive oil, for example).
If you did wash the pan with washing-up liquid, or cleaned it with salt, heat it up and make sure all the moisture evaporates from it. While the pan is hot, rub it with olive oil.
Cast-iron pans are not dishwasher safe.
