Tips for a long cooling time of the Petromax Coolbox Kx25 and Kx 50

If you observe the following instructions on using your Petromax coolbox, you will achieve optimal and long-lasting cooling performance during your outdoor adventures, depending on the environmental conditions. Please note that failure to comply with the following points can significantly reduce the cooling performance of your Cool Box.

• Cool your Cool Box as low as possible the day before use by filling it with ice or storing it in a cold place (basement, garage, etc.).
• Use large ice cubes to cool food. The larger the ice cubes, the longer the cooling time.
• Before filling the Cool Box, make sure that the valve of the integrated drain system is tightly closed.
• Place the ice on top to increase the cooling power as cold air flows downwards.
• As drinks/food at room temperature greatly reduces cooling time, cool them as low as possible in the fridge before placing them in the Cool Box.
• Every opening of the lid affects the cooling performance. Therefore, open the Cool Box consciously and as little as possible. The more often you open the box, the lower the cooling performance will be.
• Keep the Cool Box out of direct sunlight and only in the shade. Direct sunlight shortens the cooling time.
• If you need to refill ice during a long stay, drain melt water through the drain system beforehand.
• Always keep the Cool Box upright during transport or storage.
