Gerber Bushcraft Hatchet - Coyote

This all-round bushcraft hatchet is the smaller version but still ideal for all bushcraft activities, thanks to the sturdy axe head and synthetic sheath this axe is very powerful, efficient and reliable. It is particularly suitable for splitting and processing smaller firewood and light shelter building, the extra wide flared relief on the axe head gives maximum splitting power with minimum effort. Thanks to the rubber overmold grip on the front and rear part of the axe handle, it offers maximum grip and comfort for both coarse and fine work, this way you can also hold it comfortably right behind the axe head for controlled cutting and chopping movements. Very handy for woodworking, for example. The axe has a sturdy hammer head at the back and is equipped with an overstrike guard, so your axe will not be damaged if you (or someone you lend it to?) miss a beat.

The unique feature of this axe is the built-in waterproof compartment which you can slide out at the push of a button. You can put tinder, paracord or a lighter in it, for example, so you always have them to hand - ideal! The axe has two small storage compartments, the smaller Gerber Bushcraft hatchet has one.

The axe comes with a sturdy synthetic sheath, attached to this sheath is a lanyard hole for hanging it. The axe has a hollow construction, this is reflected in a number of cavities in the handle. This is for weight reduction, the cavities created can of course also be used as an extra attachment point. The axe head is finished with PTFE coating, which makes it extra corrosion resistant and therefore requires less maintenance.
