Thanks to its precise finish, the knife is very pleasant to hold and offers great comfort. This also makes it very suitable for intensive use. The knife can be transported safely in the included leather sheath. This accommodates the knife, an included Fallkniven DC 4 sharpening stone and a firesteel.

Blade

The blade is made of about 4mm thick K720 high carbon (carbon) tool steel. Better known to us as O1 steel. Using this has created a very durable blade without being heavy or not easy to carry. The knife is very robust but cuts very easily. We also consider it a great advantage that this knife can be sharpened easily and anywhere.

Sheath

The leather sheath offers good protection to the knife when not in use. It also offers sufficient safety when walking. During transport, the knife is enclosed by the sheath and secured with a sturdy press stud. The sheath can be attached horizontally to the belt. This has the advantage that the sheath is never in the way and is still easily accessible. So you always have the knife quickly to hand. The sheath also features an extra pouch. This is where you can store the Fallkniven DC4 sharpening stone.

Handle

The handle is 120 mm long and made of beautiful birch wood and has a smooth finish that makes it very pleasant to the touch. This wood is light in colour. The handle is shaped and machined to fit well and pleasantly in the hand.

Maintenance

The TBS Boar Fixed Blade Knife requires little maintenance, but it is necessary to clean and dry the knife thoroughly after use. Afterwards, we recommend applying a good quality oil to the blade to prevent possible rusting. The handle does not actually require any maintenance. Clean and dry storage is sufficient, but as with all wooden handles, occasional treatment with boiled linseed oil prevents drying out and is therefore definitely recommended.
