In our opinion, Petromax has reinvented the fire bowl with the Atago! What a great, robust, complete, and flexible product! The Atago was developed especially for outdoor enthusiasts as an all-in-one firebowl. So you can use it as a 'regular' barbecue, an oven, a burner, and as an efficient fire bowl. With all these options, you can prepare your meal in many ways, or simply enjoy a nice campfire.

The Atago can be used in combination with the Petromax Dutch Ovens. Because you can lower these into the Atago, you make optimal use of the heat. The best way to cook with your Dutch Oven! Of course, a grill grid is included to use it as a barbecue or to place another pan on top.

The Atago has an adjustable air inlet, with which you can easily regulate the amount of air (and thus the heat of your fire). Incidentally, you can use many types of material in the Atago: charcoal, briquettes and, of course, firewood!

After use, you simply fold it back up and it is only 15 cm high.

Detailed description

Extremely robust and indispensable for any outdoor enthusiast: the Petromax Atago is an unrivalled all-rounder that can be used as a conventional barbecue, cooker, oven and fire pit with charcoal briquettes or firewood. With its four basic functions, countless preparation and cooking methods are possible.

1. The Petromax Atago can be used in combination with a Petromax Dutch Oven or a Griddle and Firebowl. Simply place the cast-iron cooking utensils (e.g. Petromax ft1, ft3, ft4.5, ft6 or ft9) on the Atago's briquettes. For meals from the pan, the Petromax Griddle and Firebowl (fs48 or fs56) can be placed on top of the Atago. Because bowl or Dutch Oven is then completely surrounded by the Atago, the heat output is very high.
2. Furthermore, the Petromax Atago comes with a grill grid, which serves to turn it into a conventional barbecue. Without the grill grid, the Atago can be used as a fire basket or in combination with the Petromax Percolator or Tea kettle for preparing hot drinks.
   Thanks to the unique pull-out-return mechanism, the Petromax Atago is ready to use in an instant. When folded, it has a height of just 14 cm (5.5 inches), allowing for space-saving storage.
