Astro Insulated Long Wide Sleeping Mat:

The Astro Insulated sleeping mat is one of the most comfortable sleeping mats on the market with a good ratio between weight, pack size and insulation capacity. This sleeping mat is ideal for all forms of lightweight hiking, backpacking and bushcraft! The mat weighs 930g incl. accessories (repair kit and storage bag), a bit heavier than Nemo Equipment's Tensor sleeping mat, but you get a lot of comfort in return.

The material used, 75D polyester, is very soft and the sleeping mat has a "plush" finish, you can compare this to the feel of velvet. The thicker and sturdier material is also the biggest difference between the Nemo Tensor and Nemo Astro mats. 75D polyester is stronger, more reliable and more hard-wearing. This makes the Astro the ideal choice for anyone looking for a sturdy sleeping mat that is less prone to leaks and still lightweight!

The top of the sleeping mat has an extra rise. This elevation ensures that your pillow stays in place and gives you more sleeping options. In addition, this sleeping mat has very good sleeping stability thanks to "Lateral Baffles", which ensure that the edges do not bend upwards.

The sleeping mat has a zero-profile valve, which means it hardly sticks out. The valve is extremely easy to use, you can easily fine-tune the air tension with this valve, so you always lie optimally with as little effort as possible. The sleeping mat is inflated using a pump bag, this is a bag into which you blow the air yourself, then connect it to the valve and "push" the air into the sleeping mat. In this way, you ensure that no condensation/moisture enters the air mat through your breath, preventing mould and increasing the life span of your sleeping mat considerably!

Besides all these great features, the sleeping mat is very compact to store. Ideal for travelling, you can make it the size of a water bottle.

This Insulated version is equipped with extra insulation made of PrimaLoft®. This ensures that the sleeping mat can be used well below freezing. Suitable for use down to -9 degrees Celsius.
